The Northern Region currently has the best competitive Women Football League in the country. In as much as the competition is very stiff and strong, many of the clubs have produced some of the best players currently playing for the Women National teams. The likes of Abdulai Mukarama, Jafar Rahama, Abdulai Salamatu Nte just to mention but a few, all hailed from the Northern Region.
In last year’s Women Premier League, Northern Ladies FC went for the services of Tamale Super Ladies shot stopper Amenyeku Afi, who was unstoppable for the Tamale based Division One League side.
This season’s Northern Regional Women’s Division One League has yet again produced another master class shot stopper in the person of Osman Huzema, Dahinsheli Ladies FC.
The young talented goalkeeper has been consistent in her performance since the league kick-started some 13 weeks ago.
Huzema has been in the post for all their 13 league matches, conceding 12 goals and has managed to keep 5 clean sheets in the process. She has scored one goal and has also won 3 MVP Awards.
Huzema’s exploits has so far triggered about four Premier League clubs in search for her signature. Clubs such as Berry Ladies, Supreme Ladies, Lady Strikers and Army Ladies have all made enquires about her availability.
The most outstanding secrete about Huzema is that she always move quickly to make saves and stop the ball from the reach of attacking players. She has a very good organisational skills and has so far distinguished herself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Women Division One League.
Huzema’s form is likely to earn her a national team call up and a subsequent move to one of the top Premiership clubs in the country.
