N/R: TOLON DISTRICT FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION INAUGURATED
The Tolon District Football Association was on Saturday, 28th November 2020 Inaugurated by the Northern Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Abu Hassan Mahamadu Ryzo.
The event took place at the Tolon District Assembly Hall with the presence of various stakeholders in the region. Present was the District Ambulance Service Manager – Mr Bontoh Adamu Hudu, the Parliamentary candidates for APC – Hon Charles Baba, the Director of YOPP – Mr Abu Abubakari, the Tolon District Deputy Director – Alhaji Abubakari Forgo among others.
Also present was the Northern Regional Football Association Chairman Alhaji Abu Hassan Ryzo, the Regional Women’s Committee Chairman, Hajia Zelia Iddi, the Regional Referees Manager, Mr AA Alhassan, the Chairman of the Regional Division 2 Chairman, Mr Tahiru, the Regional Juvenile Committee Chairman, Chairman Dawuo, Tamale Metro FA Chairman, Mr Abdulai Abdul Aziz, Sagnarigu District FA Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Dawuda, the Kumbungu DFA chairman , Mr Alhassan Iddi Manzah, and the Central Gonja DFA Chairman, Mr Awudu Dokurugu.
The District FA Chairman Mr Adam Ibrahim expressed his gratitude to all the delegates for the confidence they had in him. He also thanked his predicecors for laying the foundation for Tolon Football to grow.
The Regional FA Chairman recently fixed the Tolon town goal post and presented some sports equipment to the district.

The Executive Council Members (ExCo) were sworn into office by the Regional Football Association Chairman.

The Northern Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzo, called on the District Assembly to help renovate the office structure which was handed to the District FA by the Tolon Naa. He also urge the ExCo members to support the Chairman to develop football in the district.
He also encouraged people to take advantage of the ‘Catch Them Young Refereeing Policy’ and also the license D coaching Program being introduced by GFA.
The Tolon District Deputy Director, Alhaji Forgor Abubakari who represented the DCE expressed the Assembly willingness to support the District FA. He also appealed to the Regional FA Chairman to always remember Tolon since it is close to the Regional capital.
