N/R: Overlord of Dagbon call on Investors, Politicians and Philanthropist to support Real Tamale United

The overlord of Dagbon, His Royal Majesty Ya-Na Abukari II has call on Investors, politicians, Chiefs and Philanthropist to invest in Ghana Premier League new comers Real Tamale United.

 

According to the Yaa-Na, investing in R.T.U will help them continue to stay in Ghanaian topflight and will also enable them deliver good results to the admiration of the team supporters.

“I wish to use this opportunity to call on all Northerners, Chiefs, Politicians, investors, Philanthropist etc to support R.T.U to continue to stay in the GPL and deliver the results that we shall all be proud of” the Yaa-Na Na said.

 

His Royal Majesty Ndan Yaa-Na Abukari II said this when the management, players and supporters of Real Tamale United Football Club paid a courtesy call on him at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi on Saturday 21st August, 2021.

 

 

He also entreated the management to devoid of interfering in the work of the Coach and the Technical Team. And that the responsibility of selecting players should be left to the Coach and his Technical Team. He also caution them not to involve politics and chieftaincy in player selection.

 

 

Real Tamale United first made appearance in the Ghana Premiership in 1976, and was among the top clubs in Ghana until they got relegated in 2011, they came back in 2013 but got relegated again in the same season.

 

The club has since struggled to gain promotion back to the topflight, but with hard work and determination they managed to peep Bofoakwa Tano on a superior head to head record.

 

Many politicians and Businessmen have already offered their supports to the “Pride of the North” including Vice President H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Minority leader Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, MP for the Yendi Constituency Alhaji Faruk Aliu Mahama, Brother of Former President John Mahama, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, Alhaji Amin Anta and many more. The Yaa-Na’s call will therefore awaken others to also turn their attention to the club.

 

Real Tamale United will be hoping to make their name known once again when the league kickstart in two months time.
