N/R: SWAG, Northern Region Marks World Sports Journalists Day Celebration with a Volleyball Match Against Tamale Select Side.

Sports journalism plays significant role in the development of sports globally. It brings to bare everything that happens in sports at any conner in the world for the consumption of the global populous. Sports journalists inform and educate the public about every sporting discipline in existence.

2nd July, 2021 is earmarked for sports journalist to be celebrated for the wonderful job they are doing in the sports industry. SWAG, Northern Branch was not left out of the celebration as they celebrated it in their own way by playing a Volleyball Match Against Tamale Select Side to mark the celebration. SWAG, Northern Branch beat the Tamale Select Side Two Straight.

Volleyball is an interesting sports discipline that must be supported in diverse ways to develop and grow in Northern Region. It is for this reason SWAG, Northern Region opted to use the discipline to celebrate the world journalist day. It is the intention of SWAG, Northern Region to help develop volleyball by giving it more attention and publicity for all sports enthusiasts to appreciate the game.
