Abdul-Majeed Waris’ Foundation Makes a Donation to Women’s Premier League Club, Northern Ladies Fc.

Black Stars and Strasburg Attacker, Abdul-Majeed Waris has donated a set of jersey, two footballs and Cash amount of Ghc 500.00 to the Tamale based Women’s Premier League side, Northern Ladies Fc. The donation was done by the player himself at the club’s training grounds @Aliu Mahama Stadium on Monday, 7th June, 2021.

Receiving the jersey and the cash amount on behalf of Northern Ladies was the club’s workerhololic defender, Alhassan Fakiha who expressed their gratitude to the former Lorient and Nantes striker for the kind gesture and called on him and others for more support.

 

Majeed Waris, Strasburg Fc

Majeed Waris, 29 made his international debut for Ghana in 2012 and has made 31 appearances, scoring four goals in the process. He has also played for several clubs in Europe including FC Porto, Valencienne, Spartak Moscow, Trapzonspor etc. The pacy and skillful attacker started his football in Tamale with Super Standfast Fc before moving to Right to Dream Academy in Accra.

The support comes at the right time as Northern Ladies is preparing for the 2021 Women’s FA CUP Quarter Final Fixture against Hasaacas Ladies. The fixture is scheduled for Sunday, 13th June, 2021 in Takoradi.
