N/R: Stephen Opoku [Africa 1] donates a 22-seater bus to Yendi Sankara Nationals
Founding member of Yendi Division Two League side Sankara Nationals has confirmed that the club’s General Manager, Mr Stephen Opoku known by many as Africa 1, has purchased a new 22-seater bus for the club to aid in their travels as well us his juvenile club called Africa 1 FC.

The talk and do administrator also donated GHC1000.00 Cedis to the team as they embark on a journey to Tamale to play Dreams Tamale in the Preliminary Stage of the MTN FA Cup.

“It is true, the bus is expected to arrive in Tamale on Thursday from Kumasi, and we shall used it to return to Yendi after our MTN FA Cup match” Mr. Mohammed Abdul Rahman confirmed the news to sportsmrnews.com on Wednesday
“He has also donated GHC1000.00 Cedis to the team and promised the players bigger packages should they beat Dreams Tamale on Thursday December 2nd 2021. He also made a promise to construct an Astro turf field for the team and plans are underway” he added
He added that,
“Again he has acquired two houses for the club, one in Tamale and one in Yendi for camping convenience”
Yendi Sankara Nationals SC is one of the very well known second division clubs in the Northern Region, they have been consistent in making it to the Middle League stage. The club was founded in the Year 2015 by it’s late lead founder Coach Mohammed Gariba popularly known as Coach Bannerman.
Their vision is to qualify to the Division One League, though they have always fall short each time they tried, they are still very determined to achieve that dream.
Sankara Nationals take on Dreams Tamale in the preliminary round of the MTN FA Cup in Tamale on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
