N/R: Sports Callers Association will help reduce hooliganism in Sports – Mr Mohammed Awal Essovaale

Sports Callers play significant role in sports development in Ghana. The sports callers call and give text messages during sports programs, both on Radio and on Television. Sports programs on radio and television will not be a success without the sports callers. Most of these sports callers belong to an association known as Sports Callers Association, regional and national.

Speaking on ‘SportsCenter’, Radio Tamale, the Chairman of the Sports Callers Association, Northern Region, Mr Mohammed Awal Essovaale disclosed that one of their core mandates is to help reduce hooliganism in Sports to the barest minimum. He stated that, the sports callers belong to different sporting clubs and will always appreciate individuals interests when it comes to sports. He however emphasized that sports cannot develop when hooliganism has a place in it.

According to the Northern Regional Chairman of the Sports Association, his outfit will use all the media platforms at their disposal to preach against hooliganism in sports. He added that the sports callers will always be catalysts in fostering peace, love and unity among the people in the sports fraternity.

Mr Essovaale is therefore calling on all sports callers to join the Sports Callers Association as it pays a lot to be a member.
