N/R: Savelugu Municipal Football Association Inaugurated
Savelugu Municipal Football Association was inaugurated on Sunday, 1st November, 2020 at the Savelugu Municipal Assembly Hall in Savelugu.
The NRFA has taken the steps to inaugurate all the Districts and Municipal Football Associations. The latest to be inaugurated are West Mamprusi Municipal Football Associations and now Savelugu Municipal Football Association.
In attendance for the inaugural ceremony were the Northern Regional Football Association’s ExCo and Committee members including the Chairman, Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzo, Mr Tahiru (Member, Division Two Committee), Mr Ibrahim Dawuda (Chairman, Sagnarigu Municipal FA) and Mr Mohammed Nurudeen Sham-Una (Chairman, NRFA Data and Statistics Committee).
Other notable dignitaries and sports enthusiasts in the inauguration were; Alhaji Issah Seeboy, Hajia Adamu Fulani, Mr Alhassan Issahaku Dagbamba Naa, Mr Mohammed Barko Alhassan and Mr Kwabena Anim.
The executive council (ExCo) members were sworn in by NRFA Chairman, Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzo.

The Chairman of the Savelugu Municipal Football Association, Mr Baba Alhassan used the opportunity to outline the achievements of Savelugu Municipal Football Association so far in his tenure, including Players Registration exercise and a successful organization of a gala Football competition. He also called on stakeholders to support the Municipal Football Association to grow.
Speaking in the inauguration, the Chairman of Northern Regional Football Association, Alhaj Abu Hassan Mahamadu Rhyzo cautioned the media to emphasize on the positives in order to encourage more people to invest in football in the Municipality. He also urge the executive council members to always be committed to the work they are tasked to do.
