N/R: RFA Supports Tamale Great Eagles Fc with Cartons of Bottled Water and Cash Amount
The Northern Regional Football Association led by the chairman, Alhaj Abu Hassan Mahamudu Rhyzo made a presentation of 10 Cartons of Voltic Mineral Water and a Cash Amount of Ghc1000.00 to Tamale Great Eagles Fc as a support for their trip to Accra for the National Juvenile U-17 Championship. The presentation was done on Monday, 29th November, 2021 at Kalandan Park, Tamale.
In attendance of a short ceremony for the presentation
were the RFA Chairman, Northern Region, Alhaj Abu Hassan Mahamudu Rhyzo and some Executive Council Members of the Northern Regional Football Association including, Mr Alhassan Yakubu Dawuo (Chairman, Juvenile Committee), Alhaj Mohammed Amin Adam Abio (Member – Referees Rep), Mr Ibrahim Dauda (DFAs Rep), Haji Zelia Iddi (Chairperson, Women’s Committee), Mr Mohammed Tahiru (Chairman, Division Two Committee), Mr Mohammed Nurudeen Sham-Una (Member, Juvenile Rep) and the Chairman of Tamale Metro Football Association, Mr Abdul-Aziz Ramzy.
The NRFA chairman, Alhaj Abu Hassan Mahamudu Rhyzo in his speech stated that Tamale Great Eagles Fc should bear in mind that they are going to Accra to represent the entire Northern Region, and that they must make sure they carry the good name of the region to that place. He advised the club and its entourage to comport themselves and show good character before, during and after the competition. The visionary leader called on both the technical team and playing body of Tamale Great Eagles Fc to go to Accra and come back with the Trophy. He described 2021 as a year of success for Northern football citing his presence in the delegation that accompanied Ghana U-20 male national team, the Black Satellites to Mauritania that won the U-20 AFCON Trophy, RTU’s Qualification to Ghana Premier and Fc Savannah’s Qualification to the Ghana women’s premier league. He challenged Tamale Great Eagles Fc to complete the year’s success for Northern Region.
The Juvenile Committee Chairman for the Northern Regional Football Association, Mr Alhassan Yakubu Dawuo also reminded the playing body of Great Eagles Fc of their core mandate going into the competition. He called on the players to take everything serious especially their training and attitude, both on pitch and off the pitch. He cautioned the players against selfishness especially during matches.
Alhaj Mohammed Amin Adam Abio in his addition encouraged the players to be mindful of their physical appearances. The astute football administrator and politician indicated that the physical appearance of a player can tell how serious he or she can be. He therefore called on the players to always appear good looking and sportive during the championship in Accra.
Tamale Great Eagles Fc won the Northern Regional Championship to gain the slot in the national championship. The competition is expected to start on Sunday, 5th December, 2021.
