N/R : Northern Regional Football Association Unveiles New Giant Trophy ahead of the Start of the Division Two League Season.

The Northern Regional Football Association has unveiled a new trophy ahead of the start of the division two league.

A giant trophy in gold color.

Speaking at the Northern Regional Football Association’s Ordinary Congress at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Saturday, 5th June, 2021, the Chairman of the NRFA, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo revealed that the trophy will be handed to the overall champion of the Division Two League in the region.

He also revealed that the winner in addition to the trophy, shall be given a cash prize of GH¢1,000.00
The first runner up shall also be given a trophy and a GH¢500. 00 cash prize, and the 2nd runner up goes with a 500.00 cedis and a ” hand shake” as Alhaji Rhyzo jokingly mentioned.

The 70 Division Two Clubs in the region have been divided into 12 zones , and the league format shall be based on a home and away bases.

The Division Two League shall start on 19th and 20th June, 2021.
