N/R : NANTON DISTRICT FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION ORGANISES ONE DAY SALLAH GALA MATCHES.
Nanton district football association organised one day sallah Gala Matches in the district. The competition was done in three zones. It was organised by the Chairman of the Nanton District Football Association.
The participating teams were Tampion zone, Nanton Zone A, Zieng Zone and Nanton Zone B.
The first matches saw Nanton team A beat Nanton Team B and also, Zieng zone beat Tampion Zone by one goal to nil.
The third place match was between Tampion zone and Nanton Team B which ended 4-2 on penalties in favour of Tampion zone. Nanton team A and zieng zone locked horns in the finals and Nanton team A won by two(2) goals to one(1).
The winner took a trophy,one football and one set of Jersey.The second place team took one football and four carton of soft drinks and the other two teams also took one football and two cartons of soft drinks each.
The aim of the tornanment was to unite the people in the district and also creat the awarness of the start of league season.
