N/R : My Dream is to Play Football to the Highest Level – Young Amputee Footballer, Abdallah Abdul-Razak.

Talent in football in Northern Region is second to none but exposure for the raw talent to grow is a serious challenge. Stakeholders in football ought to play significant roles in diverse ways to ensure that the raw talents don’t go worse.



A sports journalist, working with Zaa Multi Media Group, Prince Halid Mukadi Gburamoni spotted a youn talented Amputee Footballer by name, Abdallah Abdul-Razak who aims to play football to the highest level and had an interaction with him on TV.


Abdallah Abdul-Razak Anamzooya is a 10 year old Amputee Footballer who plays for a Tamale based Football Club, Black Pool FC. The young talented footballer aims at playing football to the highest level. He disclosed that the club he loves so much is Liverpool Fc in England because they play beautiful football. Razak added that Mohammed Sala is is his favorite player because of how he scores goals.

Below is the interview between the journalist, Halid Mukadi Gburamoni (Journalist) and the Young Amputee Footballer, Abdallah Abdul-Razak (Player) :

“Journalist : Why did you choose to play football.

Player: I see people play football and I develop interest in it and believe I can also play despite that I have one leg.

Journalist: How do you play?

Player : I use the stick to control the ball and use my single leg to play.

Journalist: Which team do you support?

Player : Liverpool, England

Journalist : why do you support Liverpool?

Player : They know how to play.

Journalist : Which player do you like at Liverpool?

Player : Mohammed Salah

Journalist : Why?

Player : He knows how to score goals.

Journalist : How many goals have you scored so far?

Player : I can’t count.”

Amputee Football in Ghana is not rising as expected due to so many challenges including lack of Amputees that are interested in playing football, lack of logistics, lack of motivation and support etc.



This young chap spotted by the journalist can grow to become one of the finest Amputee Footballers in Ghana and beyond when given the necessary support and exposure. He has the passion, the energy and the zeal to play football to the highest level.

Stakeholders in football in Northern Region should come out and support the little boy to achieve his aim of becoming a great footballer.

Abdul-Razak Abdallah Anamzooya is a primary school pupil. He attends Tiyumba Primary School in the Sagnarigu Municipality.

These young talents in Northern Region, especially Abdallah Abdul-Razak Anamzooya need philanthropists to come to their aid.
