N/R : Jafar Rahama wins Northern Ladies Fans Player for the Month of February, 2021 Award.
The second edition of Northern Ladies Fans Player of the Month Award Ceremony was held on Friday, 19th February, 2021 at the club’s training grounds. Four Players were nominated for the award ; namely, Jafar Rahama, Alhassan Fakiha, Korankye Gladys and Adamu Yakubu. The voting was done purely by the fans, starting from Monday, 15th March, 2021 and ended on Wednesday, 17th March, 2021.
Coalition and counting was done with the following outcome :
Jafar Rahama = 89
Alhassan Fakiha = 77
Korankye Gladys = 17
Yakubu Adamu = 11
Jafar Rahama was announced the winner and was presented a Medal, football boot and undisclosed Cash Prize.
Speaking after the presentation of the award, the vice chairman of the fans union, Mr Iliasu Mohammed, popularly known as ‘Achiri’ called on the other players to remain calm and wait for their time to also win the award.
A benevolent fan of the club (Name Withheld) also presented a surprise package to Alhassan Fakiha for making him happy and proud in one of the matches in the first round of the 2021 Women’s Premier League.
Meanwhile, Jafar Rahama also received nomination for GFA-NASCO Player for the Month of February, 2021 and is tipped to win the accolade. Voting is underway in that category too.
Northern Ladies resumed training on Wednesday, 17th March, 2021 and are preparing seriously ahead of the possible resumption of the second round on March, 30, 2021. The Northern pride ended the first round on 5th position with 9pts in the Northern Zone.
