Mykhailo Mudryk Provisionally Suspended by FA Over Adverse Drug Test Result

Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk has been provisionally suspended by the Football Association (FA) following an “adverse finding” in a recent urine test. The 23-year-old, who has not featured in Chelsea’s last four matches, is now facing a potential ban of up to four years under FA regulations.

Mudryk, who strongly denies any wrongdoing, expressed his shock and frustration at the suspension. In a statement, he clarified that he has “never knowingly used any banned substances” and that the situation was a “complete shock” to him. The young winger has insisted that he “has not done anything wrong.”

Chelsea FC has launched its own internal investigation into the matter, with the club standing by their player. A spokesperson for Chelsea reiterated that Mudryk maintains his innocence, affirming that the 23-year-old has “never knowingly used any banned substances.”

Mudryk, who had passed a routine drugs test back in August, has been absent from Chelsea’s squad for the past few games. Head coach Enzo Maresca had previously cited illness as the reason for his absence from the lineup.

The FA’s provisional suspension follows standard protocol for failed drug tests, and a final decision will be made after further investigation. If found guilty, Mudryk could face a lengthy ban, which could severely impact his career at Chelsea and beyond.
