Mubarak Wakaso now without a club as Jiangsu Suning football club has been dissolved.
The Jiangsu Football Club issued an announcement stating that due to the superposition of various uncontrollable elements, the club cannot effectively guarantee the continued battle in the Super League and the AFC. With immediate effect, Jiangsu Football Club ceases operations of its respective teams.
Jiangsu Suning Football Club won the 2020 Super League Championship on November 12, 2020, and was renamed Jiangsu Football Club in early 2021.
It took less than three months from the championship team to the dissolution.
In December 2015, Suning Group officially announced that it would take over Jiangsu Football and the club was renamed Jiangsu Suning Football Club.
Before Suning took over, the Jiangsu team won the 2013 Super Cup and the 2015 FA Cup. After Suning took over, the team has signed Ramirez, Teixeira, Edel, Miranda, Wakaso Mubarak and other big-name foreign players.
But now that the club has cease to operate Wakaso Mubarak and the rest of the team will have to look for clubs elsewhere to go and continue their career. This includes the women team also.
Wakaso is currently on holidays in Ghana and has been given a call up to the national team for Ghanas Afcon qualifiers double header against South Africa and Sao Tome.
