MTN FA Cup: Steadfast hopes to end their wingless run in competitive games against Tamale Soccer Angels
Tamale Steadfast FC are up again today against Division Two League side Tamale Soccer Angels, hoping to put an end to their wingless run in competitive games this season.
The DOL zone one heavyweights just like Accra Hearts of Oak in the Premiership have struggled to win their opening two games of the new season, leaving a number of questions marks on what has been the problem so far for Coach Mohammed Gargo and his boys.
The team brought in some new faces into their set up as three of their top players left to the Premiership, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku is currently on loan at Dreams FC, Alhassan Siisu who won the Top Scorer Gong is with Elmina Sharks and Mohammed Shariff has also signed for GPL big boys Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
The team lost their opening fixture of the season by 3-0 to Young Apostles before playing a 1-1 draw to Nkoranza Worriors at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
They will look to start the rebuilding process against last year’s runners up in the Northern Region Division Two League Tamale Soccer Angels who was by then called Zanwara FC.
The game I expected to kickoff at 3PM at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium on Wednesday 1st December, 2021.
