Michael Vinicius scores on his debut game for Kumasi Asante Kotoko
Brazilian forward Michael Vinicius scored his first goal for Kumasi Asante Kotoko against Bechem United at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi, and his fellow Brazilian Fabio Gama also scored his second for the Porcupine worriors in their 4-0 demolishing of Bechem United.
Vinicius watched the first department of the game from the bench as his side made an impressive run in the first half, scoring two goals in the process.
Abdul Ganiyu who started in both the Black Stars qualifying games against South Africa and Sao Tome opened the scoring in the 13th minute, before Brazilian Midfielder Fabio Gama double their lead on the 43rd minute with a powerful left footed shot inside the eighteenth yard box, that goal was also Fabio Second in two games for Kotoko after scoring his first against Techiman Eleven Wonders over the weekend.
Michael Vinicius was introduced in the second half to mark his debut for the Porcupine worriors. He made an instant impact as he scored his first for the reds in the 83rd minute to make it 4-0 just three minutes after coming on.
The two Brazilians will be hoping to represent Brazil in the Copa America in June, they will be hoping their form continues from now to help them compete with their counterparts who are plying their trade in Europe.
The game ended 4-0 in favour of of Kotoko and helped push them up to third place trailing leaders Great Olympics by only two points.
Andi Kumi Francis also scored in the 63rd minute to put Kotoko 3-0 lead.
Coach Mariano Barreto will hope his side fine form continues as they seeks to challenge for the Premiership trophy.
