MGWP: Northern Ladies Player to Undergo Surgery after Sustaining Serious Injury in a Match.
Northern Ladies Fc attacker, Sanatu Iddrisu sustained a serious jaw injury in their away match against Kumasi based Supreme Ladies on Sunday, 5th November, 2023 at Bantama Astro Turf in Kumasi.
Information has it that Sanatu Iddrisu collided with Susana Konadu of Supreme Ladies Fc and was rushed to Suntreso Government Hospital for treatment. The Kumasi based hospital managed the situation and discharged the player to be brought home for further treatment.
The player was sent to Tamale Teaching Hospital on Monday upon the team’s arrival in Tamale. It was said at the hospital that Sanatu Iddrisu would require surgery on the jaw. It was stated that an amount of Ghc 3,000 excluding drugs is required for the surgery. According to the doctors, the surgery is supposed to be done sooner than later.
Speaking with sportsmrnews.com, the Team Manager of the club, Mr. Ibrahim Iddrisu confirmed the news and added that the club is trying their possible best to ensure that the player undergoes a successful surgery.
Sanatu Iddrisu stepped in as a typical striker for the RTU Ladies after their proflic striker, Faiza Seidu left the club. Sanatu Iddrisu scored the only goal for Northern Ladies in their season’s opener against Ash Town Ladies and planned to continue scoring only to meet the tragedic moment.
