Management of Wamanafo Mighty Royals render an unqualified apology to assaulted referees and the FA
Few hours after Supporters of Wamanafo Mighty Royals was seen in a viral video on social media assaulting match referees who were in charge of match day 14 game involving Wamanafo Mighty Royals and Bofoakwa Tano.
The club has released a press statement expressing their displeasure against the act of their supporters. They have also rendered an unqualified apology to the said referees and also plead for pardon from the Ghana FA.
In a letter signed by club president Ernest Kwabena Baah, in a letter dated 28/03/202, the club has solemnly expressed their displeasure on the assault by their supporters both during and after match against Bofoakwa Tano FC.
The club has also promise to assist the police to investigate the matter and bring the culprits into justice.
This is not the first time assault cases has been recorded in a division one league match this season, RTU were also victims of this act by Nsoatreman FC supporters on match day six, this acts if left unpunished by the FA will soon become a norm by Supporters of clubs.
They always do that to influence the referees decisions.
