Majeed Waris join Cyprus Club Anorthosis Famagusta
Ghana international, Majeed Waris has completed a move to join Cypriot club Anorthosis Famagusta on a 2-year deal.
Cypriot top-flight league champions have signed Ghanaian International forward Abdul Majeed Waris to strengthen the squad of the team for the 2022/23 football season.
“Anorthosis Famagusta announces the signing of a contract with footballer Abdul Majeed Waris. The agreement lasts until the summer of 2024.
“We welcome the footballer to our team and wish him every success with the “Phoenix” on his chest,” Anorthosis Famagusta announced on Thursday to confirm the signing of the striker.
Until this deal, Waris in January 2020, signed for Strasbourg in France on loan until the end of the season with obligation to buy in the summer for £2,000,000. He later signed for the team on a 2-year permanent contract in August 2020 ahead of the 2020–21 season.
The Black Stars striker played for Trabzonspor, Porto, Valencia, Lorient, Spartak Moscow and Nantes, among others.
He is expected to ignite the goals scoring abilities of the club going into the new season.
