Latest News: Republicans Old Players Donate to Tamale Real Republicans Fc ahead of KGL U-17 Championship

The Old players of Tamale Real Republicans have made a cash donations to the team as they prepare for the KGL U-17 Inter Club Championship. The old players presented a cash amount of GHC3,200.00 the team. This was done on Thursday, 8th September, 2022 at club training grounds at Kaladan.


The old players through Imrana Capito disclosed their reasons for such a gesture stating that they played for the club in similar competitions and understand what is involved in such trips.


According to them, they encountered several challenges in those trips they made with the clubs including transportation expenses, feeding on the way to host cities/towns, insufficient food in their stays during the competitions and many others. This they believed affected them badly in most of the competitions.


They insisted that they will never allow the current generation to go through what they went through, hence donating the amount to the club and still standing by to offer more support before, during and after the tournament. They however encouraged the young ones to go and make themselves, the club, Tamale Metro FA and Northern Region proud.


Coach Alhassan Yakubu Dawuo, one of the leading members of the club who is also the Regional Juvenile Committee Chairman received the cash on behalf of the team. He thanked the old players for their generosity and assured them of putting the money to good use. He also assured them that they will do everything possible to make the Region proud.


Tamale Real Republicans FC will be representing Northern Region in this year’s KGL U-17 Inter Club Championship after emerging as champions of Northern Regional U-17 Championship, 2022.


The club is expected to put up a good fight in order to make Northern Region proud.
