Kwesi Appiah, a member of the Asante Kotoko Interim Management Committee, has secured a seat on the Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA). This win grants him one of the five coveted slots designated for the Ghana Premier League.

James Kwesi Appiah, the former head coach of the Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars, earned an impressive 10 votes in the election. He will be serving alongside incumbents Frederick Acheampong, Nana Oduro Sarfo, and Randy Abbey, all of whom have successfully retained their positions on this influential council.

However, the race for the fifth Premier League representative on the Executive Council remains undecided. Kingsley Osei Bonsu and Elleony Amande will proceed to a second round of voting to determine who will claim this final spot, representing the Premier League clubs within the GFA.
