Hon. Mutala Mohammed, MP for Tamale Central Constitution paid a visit to Tamale Real Republicans Fc at their Camp base in Accra, Laboni Senior High School. The reason for his visit was to give words of advise and encouragement to the team. Real Republicans Fc is a sole representative of Northern Region in the ongoing KGL U-17 Inter Club Championship in Accra.
During the visit, Hon. Mutala Mohammed presented Packs of Mineral Water, Malt and Cash Amount of Ghc 1000.00 to the team to support their participation in the competition.
According to the vocal MP, he heard the news after a meeting today that Real Republicans are representing Northern Region in U-17 Inter-Club Championship in Accra. Coincidentally, Reps is a Juvenile Club from his Constituency, hence the need to go and support them in their effort to raise the flag of Northern Region high. He called on the management, the technical team and the playing body to keep pushing hard so they can successfully defend the flag of Northern Region.
Hon. Mutala’s efforts to develop sports, especially football in Northern Region can be seen clearly. In July, 2022, the MP cut sod for the construction of an Astro Turf at Kulikuli School in Tamale. He assured the good people of Tamale that they could be another one to be constructed at Sakasaka Basic Schools.
The MP, Hon. Mutala Mohammed is one of the ‘All Round’ Parliamentarians in Ghana. He has been seen touching almost every aspect of development in his constituency and beyond including sports and education. He is gradually becoming the youth favorite in Tamale.
Real Republicans Fc played four matches so far. They won three and lost one. They will face Bolga Soccer Masters Colts Club on Monday, 19th September, 2022 to complete the group stage matches. The Republicans are expected to win that match to guarantee their progress to the next stage of the championship.
