KGL INTER-CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP (U-17) : PROFILE OF NORTHERN REP, TAMALE GREAT EAGLES

Tamale Great Eagles FC was established as a juvenile football club in the year 1963.
It however started playing competitively in the year 1964.
The Club currently trains at the Tamale Kaladan Park.
By way of laurels, the club has won a lot of trophies and honours in its six(6) decades of existence.
The Aliance Francais Cup won in 1991 is a classic example.
The 2020/2021 season has however been phenomenal in the annals of the club.
The Club annexed the maiden Annual Wakaso Challenge Cup, 2021;
Won the Tamale Metro U17 Premier League Trophy , and finally played unbeaten to be crowned the Regional U17 Champions and billed to represent the Northern region at the National U17 Championship in Accra.
Notable players the club has produced include Stephen Baidoo
Gargo Mohammed
Abdul Rahman Bobby
Tanko Jetumah
Dauda Lukman
Mubarak Wakaso among others
In the field of Soccer Administration,the club is credited with the distinction of producing two (2) Regional Football Association Chairmen for the region.
The two (2) Old players are the immediate past RFA Chairman Mr Abdulai Alhassan and the current one, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo who also doubles as a member of the Black Satellites Management Committee.
