Juvenile Juvenile : East Gonja wins Savannah Region U-13 Soccer Boys Championship

The Maiden Edition of Savannah Region Basic Schools U-13 Inter District Soccer Boys Competition and U-15 Cross Country Competition ended on Friday, May 27, 2022 in Damongo, the regional capital

East Gonja District won the U-13 Boys Soccer ultimate

They beat North East Gonja District 5-4 on penalties in the finals after a 1-1 draw in regulation time

North Gonja District earlier beat Central Gonja 1-0 to pick up the bronze medal

In the U-15 Cross Country Competition, Tika Simon of North Gonja beat competition from Adam Abdallah of North East Gonja and Avade Richard of West Gonja to emerge first in the boys event with a time of 27:48.65sec

Enestina Tengibe of Bole District beat her colleague Mary Adu Antara from Bole and Rahinatu Abdulai of West Gonja to win the girls 4km race

Bole and West Gonja Districts won the ultimate titles in cross country for girls and boys respectively

East Gonja U-13 Soccer Team Team.

2. Cross Country Boys (U-15) West Gonja District

3. Soccer Boys (U-13) – East Gonja District

Individual Awards

1. Best Cross Country Girl – Tengibe Enestina (Bole District)

2. Best Cross Country Boy – Tika Simon (North Gonja)

3. Best Goalkeeper – Abdul Latif Malik (North East Gonja)

4. Top Scorer – Wie Curron (STK)

5. Most Promising Player – Abdul- Aziz Nurudeen (North Gonja)

6. Most Valuable Player – Haadi Abdul – Razak (East Gonja)

Trophies and medals were given to all the award winners

The next edition of Savannah Region Basic Schools U-13 Inter District Soccer and U-15 Cross Cross Competition will be staged in Bole in the Bole District
