JUSTIFY YOUR INCLUSION
The 5th edition of the 2023 National Cross Country championship is slated for Saturday 25th February, 2023 in Savelugu. All 16 Regions as well as Schools and Colleges Sports Association, Ghana University Sports Association and Security Service Sports Association are to present 12 athletes each which would be made up of both 6 male and 6 female.
All the regions are preparing assiduously in search of their Regional teams to participate in the national marathon event.
Over 200 athletes from Northern Region are set to participate in the event meant for selection of athletes into the 2023 Regional Cross Country race on Saturday, February 11, 2023.
The race is opened to athletes across the Region and provides an opportunity for athletes to be selected for the region.
The 10km stretch race will start from Nanton and end at the Yoo Naa Palace in Savelugu. Prizes shall be given to the best athletes after the Regional contest.
The Regional and National Cross-Country race is under the NSA and the Regional Sports Development Committee headed Madam Alhassan Salamatu and Prof. Siedu.
