JUST IN : Yendi Municipal Football Association Suspends All Football Activities Until Further Notice in Honor of Late Coach Bannerman.

Following the passing on of coach Gariba Mohammed popularly called ” Coach Bannerman” that occurred today, 2nd April, 2021 in Yendi, the Yendi Municipal Football Association has directed that all football activities in the Municipality be put on hold with immediate effect until further directives from the Association.

Coach Gariba Mohammed until his death was the Vice Chairman of the Yendi Municipal Football Association and also the founder of Yendi Division Two Club, Sankara Nationals SC.

He was a great midfielder in his playing days for Union FC, he was nicknamed “Bannerman” for his great potential.

His motive was to unearthed football talents in the Yendi Municipality, but he suddenly passed away on Friday, 2nd April, 2021 which shocked everyone in the football fraternity in the whole region.

The Association therefore calls on all football clubs in the Yendi Municipality to hold on with all football activities in honor of the late Coach until further notice from the Association.

The statement to its effect was released by the Chairman of Yendi Municipal Football Association, Mr. Eliasu Ibrahim on Friday, 2nd April, 2021.
