JUST IN : NRFA Chairman, Alhaj Abu Hassan Rhyzo Receives a Donation of Football Materials and equipment from Baba Rahaman on Behalf of TMFA and SMFA
Black Stars and Paok FC Left back, Baba Rahaman Donates Football Materials and Equipment to all the juvenile clubs within the jurisdictions of both Tamale Metro Football Association and Sagnarigu Municipal Football Association. The items included footballs, sets of bibs, cones and many others. Tamale Metro Football Association contains 26 Juvenile clubs and their counterparts, Sagnarigu Municipal Football Association also having 27 juvenile clubs. In all, a total of 53 juvenile clubs benefited from the kind gesture of the pacy left wing back. Each juvenile club received 3 pieces of football, 2 sets of bibs and huge number of cones.

The donation was done at the Northern Regional Football Association’s office at Aliu Mahama Stadium on Monday, 21st June, 2021. Receiving the donation on behalf of Tamale Metro Football Association and Sagnarigu Municipal Football Association was the chairman of Northern Regional Football Association, Alhaj Abu Hassan Mahamadu Rhyzo. The visionary and affable leader, Alhaj Rhyzo thanked Baba Abdul-Rahman for the timely support given to the juvenile clubs in the region. He described Baba Rahaman as the proud son of Northern Region. He added that the Chelsea left back is the first player from the region to have officially passed a donation through RFA, Northern Region. He louded the player and his advisors for the good initiative. The chairman indicated that the RFA will furnish itself and GFA with reports on the support.

Baba Rahaman played for several clubs in Ghana and in Europe including, Young Meteors (Tamale, Ghana), Dream Fc (Accra, Ghana) , Kumasi Asante Kotoko (Kumasi, Ghana), Greuther Furth (Germany), FC Augsburg (Germany), Chelsea (England), Schalke 04 (Germany), Reims (France), Mallorca (Spain) and currently with Paok (Greece), on loan from Chelsea (England).

The attacking minded left back made his international debut for the Black Stars of Ghana in 2014 and was part of the 2015 AFCON squad which ended the tournament as runners up. He was also part of the Black Satellites (U-20) team that won the world cup in 2009.
