JUST IN: Kasalgu Arrow Heads Win Pre-Season Friendly Tournament, ABMZ SOCCER FIESTA in Bolga
Kasalgu Arrow Heads, a division two club in Tamale won the pre-season invitational friendly tournament dubbed ABMZ SOCCER FIESTA, BOLGA 2021. The tournament started on Thursday, 4th November, 2021 in Bolga with four clubs participating in the preparatory tournament.
Arrow Heads Fc started the tournament on Thursday with a defeat to Bolga Fc by 1-0. A defeat that could be associated with fatigue due to traveling. The team arrived in Bolga on Thursday and played the first match same day.
However, Coach Shila Iliasu’s side bounced back to wining ways when they faced Bolga Soccer Masters on Friday, 5th November, 2021. The former Black Stars defender deployed more tactics to win the match by 3-0.
Kasalgu Arrow Heads rapped it up on Saturday, 6th November, 2021 with a massive 5-1 win over Zorkor United SC.
In all, kasalgu Arrow Heads scored eight goals and conceded only two goals in the competition helping them to win the tournament on goals advantage.
The club, Arrow Heads Fc is determined to make it into the Division One League come next season. But they could only do so if they are able to hold onto their experienced and stylish players such as Dele Faisal, Ziblim Firdaus, Jonas Agyemontor, Sadir Bazie Danjumah, King Kpodogia and many others. The club ought to also add new faces to the team before the regional transfer window closes on Tuesday, 9th November, 2021.
The CEO of the club, Dr. Michael Ayamga, Senior Lecturer at the University for Development Studies (UDS) together with his technical men are poised to qualify Arrow Heads Fc for the 2022/2023 Division One League. The branding of the club tells it all.
The Kasalgu based club is coached by former Black Stars defender, Shila Iliasu. The X-Player was part of the Black Stars Squad that represented Ghana in Germany 2006 World Cup. He was one of the star performers for the Black Stars in the tournament.
Arrow Heads are back to Tamale with the trophy to continue their preparations towards next season division two league.
