Identify, Encourage and Guide the Talent if You Really Want to Benefit from it – CEO of Tamale Zaituna FC, Mr. Dauda Ibrahim.

The Chief Executive Officer of Tamale Zaituna Fc, one of the most successful Juvenile Clubs in Ghana, Mr Dauda Ibrahim who doubled as the Chairman of Sagnarigu Municipal Football Association spoke on how Juvenile clubs can grow players in order to benefit from them. He spoke on ‘Ti Baŋsim Taba Diema ni Yiɣ’jem Saha’, a local sports show on Radio Tamale, 91.7mhz.

 

According to him, Juvenile Clubs owners and coaches ought to set targets for themselves and work towards achieving the set targets. In doing so, according to him involves a lot. He said, club owners must work hand in hand with people with common interests and make sure that each and everyone is respected irrespective of the role he/she plays.

The astute football administrator indicated that, before a club owner or football administrator benefits from his club, he/she must be up and doing technically and psychologically. He stated that CEOs and coaches must make sure that, in every batch of players, they are able to identify at least one or two players that have the potentials to make it big in football. After doing so, they should encourage the identified players, guide and council them and give them special care and attention to reach the highest level in football.

 

Mr. Dauda added that club owners ought to allow their players join other clubs they believe they are ahead of them and can give the players the support and exposure to develop and grow well. He however insisted that the necessary agreements and documentations must be put in place without allowing money to play a role at that moment.

 

As chairman of Sagnarigu Municipal Football Association, Mr Dauda Ibrahim cautioned clubs and players to avoid working with unregistered and unknown scouts as it may hamper their progress in football. He insisted that Clubs and players should only work with scouts that are reaching them through RFAs and DFAs.

 

Tamale Zaituna Fc was established in 2006 and has since produced great talents including Issahaku Abdul-Fataw, Yakubu Abdul-Aziz, Muntari Kamahene, David Abagna Sandan and many others. The club can boast of quality players at all levels such as U-10, U-13, U-15, U-17, 3rd and 2nd Division.
