“I will bring Abagna David from Ashgold”: R.T.U Head Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko
Former coach of Accra Hearts Of Oak and current head coach of Premier League promotion side Real Tamale United, says he is ready to bring in Ashanti Gold midfielder David Abagna to the club as they prepare to play in the Premiership next season.
David Abagna is a former midfielder of Wa All Stars, he won the Ghana Premier League with the club in 2016. The experience midfielder has been doing well with Ashgold, they are currently playing in the Semi-finals of the MTN FA Cup where they will be facing Berekum Chelsea.
Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko was speaking as a guest to Tamale based NTV on the Day Break Show. The experience coach touched on questions from the viewers, Mr. Tanko said he was ready to bring in the 22- year old experience Midfielder to RTU.
“He is my darling boy, I have already spoked to him about it and hopefully we can get him before the season starts” Coach Shaibu Tanko said
Real Tamale United will be expecting new faces into their squad that could strengthen the team to help them compete in the topflight.
The experience coach has made history by becoming the first to lead the team back to the Ghana Premier League since 2013. Expectations are high on him to present a strong and fearsome team once the season kickstart.
