Hearts of Oak appoint former Medeama SC coach Samuel Boah as new manager

Accra Hearts of Oak has appointed Samuel Boah as their new manager after the resignation of Kosta Papic.

The former Medeama SC coach signed a three and half year deal with the Phobians and will reportedly pocket $2,500 as monthly salary.

It is also reported that he received GHS 70,000 as enticement fee in a bid to woo him from Medeama, a club he twice came close to winning the league with.

He is to take over from U-15 Coach Samuel Nii Noi, who took over after Kosta Papic tendered his resignation letter last month. He led the club to win 2-3 against Ebusua Dwarfs, winning 0-1 against Liberty Professionals and drawing 0-0 against Kumasi Asante Kotoko yesterday.

He is expected to turned their season around after a poor start. His first game in charge is against ninth placed team WAFA.

The club has already signed Salifu Ibrahim who so far has won more man of the match awards than any other player in the league. The coach will hope the forward make an immidiate impact as they look forward to close the four points gap between them and current leaders Karela United.

And looking at the Phobians performance Yesterday, there is much hope for Samuel Boah and his new club.
