The Pride of the North, RTU on Monday, 4th April, 2022 put smiles into the faces of fans and supporters of the club by picking three maximum points from a five-goal thriller at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. RTU made it double over Berekum Chelsea by beating them 3-2 on the Match Day 23 in Kumasi. It was a home fixture for the Way-yuna but was honored at Baba Yara Sports Stadium due to the temporal ban on Aliu Mahama Stadium as a home venue for RTU by the Ghana Football Association.

Fans and supporters were full of joy and excitement to see their darling club, RTU picked three maximum points away from Tamale at that crucial moment. A moment that every point is much important for the club to stay in the league. However, their joy was cut short when the head coach, Ibrahim Shaibu Tanko made a statement that didn’t go down well with them in his post match interview. The fans and supporters were very angry with the comments of the head coach and took to social media to condemn the coach for such comments. The comments they regard as insult and disrespect to the entire supporters of RTU.

The comment didn’t go down well with the entire fans and supporters of Real Tamale United, RTU, hence their actions on social media.
