Real Tamale United after their 1-1 midweek draw against GPL giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko, continues their impressive start to the Ghana Premier League with a 2-0 comfortable home win over Elmina Sharks.
To protect your fortress you must always be well and readily prepared, and that was exactly what Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko and his RTU team did against Elmina Sharks at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium today.

Early first half goals from winger Ronald Frimpong and mercurial midfielder David Abagna Sandan sealed the victory for the pride of the north, they are now temporarily 5th on the league table pending Dreams FC’s game tomorrow against King Faisal.

Head Coach of RTU Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko after their first game of the season against Great Olympics which ended 1-1 was very optimistic of making the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium their fortress and was ever ready to go the extra mile to defending it. But his words was short lived as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Medeama SC on match day 7 at same venue.

Man of the moment, David Abagna Sandan continued his glowing form after netting his 8th goal of the current campaign against the Sharks, which kept him top of the goal scoring chart. His goal complemented Ronald Frimpong’s opener on the 29th minute.

Next for RTU is a trip to play against fellow new comers Accra Lions who are currently struggling in the league and will in an hour time play a derby game against GPL heavyweights Accra Hearts Of Oak.
