One of the Ghana Premier League heavy weights, Kumasi Asante Kotoko have sacked head coach, Maxwell Konadu. His sacking came after the club’s disappointing defeat to Accra Great Olympics on Thursday, 17th December, 2020.
The statement from Kumasi Asante Kotoko reads:
“Management of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club wishes to inform the general public that it has decided to part ways with Coach Maxwell Konadu as its Head Coach with immediate effect.
In the interim, Coach Johnson Smith has been appointed to lead the team in its technical direction.”
Coach Maxwell Konadu was appointed in December, 2019 on two years contract after Kjetil Zackarissen was also shown the exit door.
