GPL: Issahaku Abdul Fatawu prepares to face former teammate Mohammed Sheriff in thier debut GPL match
As Dreams fc takes on Asante Kotoko on Saturday, the 30th of October 2021 at the Accra Sports Stadium in Match Day One of the Ghana Premier League 2021/22 season, Steadfast FC former players are expected to make their debuts against each other.
Issahaku Abdul Fatawu, a close friend to Mohammed Sheriff have both taken a different path to continue their football carrier. A very strong and skillful defensive midfielder, Mohammed Sheriff join Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko while teammate and 2020 AFCON U-20 Player of the year, Issahaku Abdul Fatawu join Dreams FC.
Mohamed Sheriff made 29 appearances for Steadfast FC, scored seven goals and provided 12 last season. A very talented player like him will love to start his debut match in a spectacular form.
Although national duty took much of his time last season, Issahaku Abdul Fatawu still made 14 appearances, scored 12 goals and provided 12 assists for Steadfast FC. He is currently the hot cake in world football. Expectations are high and this is one thing that pushes Fatawu to his best.
Dreams fc, in a quest to win this year’s juicy awards, have seen them capture the services of another experienced Habib Mohammed before the last day of the transfer market.
Kotoko on the other hand have also brought in coach Prosper Nartey Ogum and also made some tactical signings to strengthen the team.
Dreams are yet to win over Kotoko in their previous two meetings. The club only had one win and loosing four to Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their previous five meetings.
The game is expected to kickstart at exactly 3:00 pm local time.
