GPL : Coach Abu Hanan Nominated for Ghana Premier League Coach of the month Award for the month of February, 2021.

The interim coach of Berekum Chelsea, Abu Hanan has been nominated for Ghana Premier League Coach of the month Award for the month of February, 2021.

Coach Abu Hanan is one of the young talented coaches in Tamale, the capital of Northern Region.
The young experienced coach had previously coached clubs such as Glory Stars in the division one, Guan United, now Tamale City, Zanwara FC a division two club and Tamale Dreams FC which is also a division two club.

Coach Hanan is a CAF License ‘A’ holder with a unique feature for which many have adored him. He hates indiscipline among players, both on pitch and off the pitch. He is also an attacking minded coach who always threaten his opponents from the beginning of a match till the final whistle.

He was appointed an assistant coach to Michael Hesse Odamtten but a poor run of form in Odamtten first eight games saw BreakumcChelsea occupied 15th position with just six points. The poor ran compelled the club to sack him and Abu Hanan was subsequently confirmed as interim coach of the club.

Since his take over, he has Breakum Chelsea occupying 12th position on the league standings with 21 points before the first round came to an end.

Berekum Chelsea’s great performance in the month of February had the coach being recognized for his good work. Coach Abu Hanan guided Breakum Chelsea to win three and drew one in the four matches they played in February, 2021.

Abu Hanan is in contention with Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu who was then with Medeama SC and Dreams FC coach, Vladislav Viric.

The winner will receive a NASCO Television and a personalized trophy.
