Steadfast fc still in fine form after match day 9
Many will have thought that the absence of Ghana’s U-20 star Fataw Issahaku will have been a serious blow to his team’s performance, little do they know that the team has several other options in the absence of their prolific goal machine.
Fataw played three games for Steadfast in the division one league before he left to Mauritania on national duty. In those three league games he scored three goals, provided four assist and won three MVP awards for his outstanding performances.
Since the start of the tournament in Mauritania, he has scored two great goals and also winning one player of the match award. He is a natural gifted dribbler and a goal poacher, he has shown it in the league, at U-17 and now U-20.
But a determined and experience coach Mohammed Gargo, has not built his team on only one single player, he has so many other options when one is not around. The team since Fataw absence has managed to win four games in five matches.
In Steadfast last six matches, they have scored 16 goals and conceded only four. They have also accumulated 12 points out of a possible 15 points.
Not only did Coach Mohammed Gargo found a new way to win matches in his star players absence, but he has also found a new goal poacher, in the person of Alhassan Siisu.
Alhassan Siisu has been outstanding in the league currently, he has scored seven goals in nine matches to put him levelled with Bofoakwa Tano’s forward Welbeck Takyi who also has seven.
In their game Yesterday against Kintampo FC at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Alhassan Siisu scored a hat trick which help the team to win by 4-1.
His performance in the game was not overlooked as he was awarded the most Valuable player award.
Other players who are also helping coach Gargo’s side to continue their current form, is Abu Abdullah who has scored three goals, Sheriff Mohammed has also scored two and just Yesterday Marwan also registered his name on to the score sheet. It is just a team work that coach Gargo’s men are doing currently.
Steadfast Fc are currently fifth on the league standings after gathering 16 points and and nine goals. They are three points behind leaders Bofoakwa Tano.
Fataw performance was outstanding but his absence has motivated his colleagues to up their performance which has seen them, still being in the position of challenging for the only Premiership slot in the Zone.
