Ghana U-20 Star Abdul Mugeese makes first European appearance for FC Ashdod
Zakaria Abdul Mugeese has made his first European appearance for FC Ashdod in the Europa league qualifying playoffs.
The former Dreams FC midfielder joined the Israelites giants on loan in the just ended season. Per the terms in his contract, Ashdod FC has an option to make the deal permanent.
His performance with FC Ashdod in the league has been so great, he made six appearances, scoring two goals and also provided two assist.
FC Ashdod is currently competing in the Europa league qualifying play off, Mugeese was a 63rd minute substitute in their 0-0 draw against Qarabag in Azerbaijan, the return fixture is expected to be played next week in Israel which Mugeese is very hopeful of making his second European appearance.
The 19-year old winger was a member of the Ghana U-20 team that won the WAFU Cup last year.
His current exploits with the Israelites heavyweights could see him get another call up to one of Ghana’s National team’s.
