Gambaga Young Zobzia United FC Ready To Combat for a place in the Division One
Young Zobzia United FC is a football club based in Gamba, East Mamprusi District in the North East Region. They are competing in the Regional Division Two League and their training ground is the Gambaga Town Park.
In the football administration, the team is a member of the Northern Regional Football Association with it’s chairman being Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo.
Young Zobzia United was founded on June 15, 2008 by Yahaya Wahab known as Bonchu. The team can boast of having an U-13, U-15 and U-17 Colts team’s, which is seriously working day in day out to feed the senior team with potential players who can helpe compete to the highest level.
Since it’s formation in 2008, it has been the most successful football club in the North East Region, it has won eight (8) accolades in that short period.
Yahaya Wahab is currently the head coach of the club, and for his hard work and talent in coaching, Young Zobzia United is one of the three Division Two Clubs selected to represent Northern Region in the MTN FA Cup this year.
The mission of the team is to continue their electrifying form to qualify to the National Division One League this year, and then subsequently make it to the Ghanaian topflight which is the Premier League.
It is also their goal to become the first division two club to lift the MTN FA Cup.
Though the competition is tough and several other teams are preparing just as they are doing, the team is very optimistic of achieving their set objectives most especially to qualify for the Division One League.
