FT : Northern Ladies Fc 3 2 Bagabaga Ladies Fc

It was a friendly encounter between the Premier League side, Northern Ladies Fc and the Division One League side, Bagabaga Ladies Fc as part of the activities to mark the naming ceremony of Mr & Mrs Ndebo Mohammed. The match was an interesting one by all standards.

In the first half of the match, both teams showed their class by putting up a very good performances. Northern Ladies Fc had most of their star players starting the match including, the Black Princesses attackers, Jafar Rahama and Abdulai Mukarama. The Black Maidens defender, Seidu Faiza also started the match. But there was no place in the starting team for their regular goalkeeper, Salifu Barikisu who is also a member of the Black Princesses squad. The head coach, Sumani Basiru-Deen opted to give an opportunity to one of the new goalkeepers who actually proved that she has all what it takes to be in Northern Ladies Set up.

On the other hand, Bagabaga Ladies Fc started the match without the players who have just returned from national assignments. They are : Yahaya Asana, Ziblim Farihana and Abdulai Salamatu Nte. However, those players were brought on in the second department of the match. The first half ended in a goalless draw.

Northern Ladies Fc came back strongly for the second department of the match. They dominated possession and finally got the deadlock broken on the 53rd minute through Black Princesses attacker, Jafar Rahama who calmly tapped the ball beyond the reach of Shuaib Nimatu, the goalkeeper of Bagabaga Ladies. Fredericka made it two on the 64th minute for Northern Ladies before Dorithy made it three for the Premier League side.

Bagabaga Ladies Fc had their game lifted after Yahaya Asana, Ziblim Farihana and Abdulai Salamatu Nte were brought on to play their part of the game. Nuhu Yatasu pulled one back for Bagabaga Ladies Fc through a powerful header before the Black Maidens attacker, Abdulai Salamatu Nte made it two for the division one league side, Bagabaga Ladies Fc. The match ended 3 2 in favour of Northern Ladies Fc.
