Football secret: Yaa-Naa a big football fan

There is a hidden secret about the Overlord of the Dagbon Kingdom Yaa-Naa Abubakari II that you do not know about, he is a fan of the beautiful game of football.

This was disclosed on Saturday 13th February 2021 during the inauguration of the Yendi municipal football association at the Yendi Community centre.

Even though the Overlord did not honour the invitation in person, he sent his representatives on his behalf, as he was not in the Dagbon Capital at the time of the inauguration.

“The Overlord is a big football fan and had it not been because he travelled, he would have been present to grace the occasion.” The representative stated

According to him ” whenever the Yaa-Naa is with his TV set, it is football he prefers to watch.”

Just two years ago, the Overlord organized a football tournament in the Yendi Municipality, which was named “The Yaa-Naa Cup”, this was organized to promote peace in the Dagbon Capital. This confirms that sports is most appealing game to the Yaa-Naa.
