Fatawu needs proper management – Rossoneri
Issahaku Abdul-Fatawu, the Steadfast FC star has gotten the world talking. He was on song as the Black Satellites won the U-20 AFCON in Mauritania, scoring two wonderful goals.
The tournament has ended and fans cannot stop heaping praise on the now turned 17-year-old talent. The fact that he won the best player of the tournament award has put him in the limelight. This, Rossoneri thinks calls for immediate proper management system for the boy, if he doesn’t have one already.
Speaking on Suhupielli Soccer School on Suhupielli FM on Sunday, he said; ” The award Fatawu has won means he’s the best young player in Africa. It comes with its pressure and definitely adds some zeros to his value by way of marketability. He needs help.”
He continued; “His performance will elicit a mad rush from clubs, agents and scouts towards him. There must be an immediate proper management system for him if there isn’t one already. He’s got to be made to focus on his football and not be distracted by inevitable contract matters. He’s too young for that.”
This admonition from Rossoneri is a call in the right direction. Many young talented players have failed to live up to expectation because of lack of good management. Hopefully, Fatawu will fulfill his potential and become the great player many expect him to be.
