Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus scored his second goal of the season on his first start since coming back from injury.
The Midfielder suffered an injury during their Champions league group stage opener against Liverpool at Anfield. He came back last week in their win against Heracles in the Netherlands Eredivisie.
He was also named in their 21 man squad for their Europa league clash with Lille. He was an unused substitute in that 1-2 win against the French club. But today he was handed his first start against Sparta Rotherham in the Eredivisie, he scored in the 50th minute to make it 4-0 for the Dutch Champions.
The Midfielder has played six games for the Dutch giants, scoring two and assisting three. That is a good performance from a player who is been kept out of the majority of their games due to injury.
He is likely to be given a call up into the national team by Coach C.K Akunnor. He couldn’t honour the first call up as a result of injury for which his team believes he was still in a recovery state.
He previously represented Ghana in both the U-17 and U-20 national teams. He scored one goal for the U-17 side.
He will be anxiously waiting for a call up, when Ghana plays South Africa and Sao Tome at the Afcon qualifiers.
