DOL: Wrap up of matches played on week 12 of the Division One League zone One

It has been become tougher for teams in Zone one of the division one league to continue a winning run as the table keep getting new leaders week in week out.

Match day eleven saw Tamale Steadfast Fc climbing top of the table for the first time in their history, they were expected to get a tough test as they played a derby game against Tamale City. What a game it was at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, with both teams putting in much efforts to snatch victory, Abdul Fataw Issahaku who just returned from Mauritania was a threat to Tamale City defense but their usual composure the game ended in a 1-1 draw after Mohammed Sheriff and Kwame all registered their names on the score sheet.

Nsoatreman FC also played a 1-1 draw against second place team Mighty Royals fc after a fierst contest at the Nsoatreman children’s park. Mighty Royals were having the same points with Steadfast, but Steadfast took the first place thanks to their superior goal advantage. After their draw they have now been pushed back to fifth place.

Young apostles also came from behind to beat relegation threatening side Yendi Gbewaa FC by 3-2. Mohammed Amin opened the scoring earlier in the first half but a strong Apostles side fought hard to end the game in their favor.

Berekum Arsenals also snatched a 1-0 victory at the Wa Park against Wa Suntaa SC. That victory had them now occupying second position with 24 points.
Bofoakwa Tano also fought hard at the Paga town park to win by a loan goal against Paga Crocodiles Stars, the win also has them occupying fourth position with 23 points.

Nkoranza worriors continued their fight against relegation as they narrowly snatched a 1-0 victory over Unity FC.

Kintampo FC were also at home in the Kintampo Rawlings Park to battle it out with Techiman City FC, with all teams battling for relegation each of them needed a win to keep their hopes alive, but after a heart breaking contest, it was the home team that snatched all the three points.

Real Tamale United also continued with their impressive run of form by smashing B.A. United three goals to nil at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. Goals from Mustapha Fuseini, Mohammed Sadat and Ronald Frimpong helped them record a massive victory over their opponents.

That win has them occupying the top of the table for the second time this season.
The current leader next game is a derby match against neighbors Steadfast who has just been overthrown from the top of the table after occupying it in week eleven.
