DOL: Tamale Steadfast FC “goal poacher” Alhassan Siisu wins Zone One Top Scorer Gong

Tamale Steadfast FC forward Alhassan Siisu has won the top scorer accolade in Division One Zone One after finding the back of the net 16 times in the just ended Division One League season.

The attacker beat off competition from Bofoakwa Tano’s sensational striker Welbeck Takyi whose earlier form in the season earned him a call up to the Black Stars squad. He ended the season in joint second (14 goals) with Berekum Arsenal’s Ansu Kofi Patrick who also found the back of the net 14 times.

Both Welbeck Takyi and Ansu Patrick stunning performance propelled their teams to end the season on a second and third place respectively.
Alhassan Siisu’s teammate Abdul Fataw Issahaku finished fourth with 12 goals to his name in fewer games. His involvement in the AFCON U-20 Championship and subsequent call-ups to the Senior National Team (Black Stars) and the Black Stars B team had him missed almost half of Steadfast FC matches.

Alhassan Siisu made 27 appearances, providing 6 assists and winning 4 Most Valuable Player awards. Siisu is a skilful attacker, tormenting defenders and scoring goals.
The season has ended and several clubs are nocking the door for his possible switch. But until then Alhassan Siisu is a player for Tamale Steadfast Football Club.
