DOL: Tamale City travels to test League Leaders Berekum Arsenals at the Golden City Park.
Coach Hamza Mohammed side will travel to play current zone one league leaders Berekum Arsenals at the Golden City Park on match day 9 today. It poses a serious problem to the rejuvenated Tamale club.
You will recall that Berekum Arsenals are currently on top of the league table, leading Real Tamale United on goal difference. They have been consistent in making positive results since the beginning of the season. They lost during the weekend against Young Apostles at the Sunyani Coronation Park by 1-0 which put an end to their unbeaten run in the league.
Tamale City FC since their famous win against RTU at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium have not lost a game. The rejuvenated Tamale club started the league on a very bad note, but Coach Hamza Mohammed has managed to turn things around and they are currently with sixteen points after playing eight games. Their last two games has pose serious danger to the clubs defense, they have conceded four goals in the process, scoring six. They came from 2-0 down at half time to win 2-3 against Wa Suntaa SC. They also won 3-2 against Mighty Royals at the Aliu Mahama Sports stadium over the weekend.
This has led many to called on coach Hamza Mohammed to look into his defense at it could cost them the season going forward.
Coach Hamza’s side will look to pose danger to the current league leaders, knowing that a win against them could temporarily push them to the top of the table depending on the results of other games.
For Berekum Arsenals they will also try to win this game at all cost, they will play with all their might, to make sure they get a positive results against a side which has been a dominant force in the league for past three seasons.
The game at the Golden City Park today will be a serious contest and fascinating, for which we are looking forward to witness.
Tamale City FC are currently on a four game unbeaten run, and they will hope to continue the winning streak when they take on Berekum Arsenals.
