DOL: Real Tamale United back to the top thanks to a 3-0 victory over B.A United
Real Tamale United wins big against B. A United to go back to the top of the table, at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.
Coach Shaibu Tanko’s side before kickoff needed to capitalize on yesterday’s derby draw between Tamale City and Steadfast. The 1-1 draw in that game gave Real Tamale United the chance to move to the top if they beat BA United.
The other team that could have been a stambling block on their way was Mighty Royals but they played a 2-2 draw against Nsoatreman FC.
The pride of the north dominated play and really made it difficult for BA United to operate. Coach Tanco boys possessed and dominated the entire 99 minutes. They took the lead thanks to a fine move by Ronald Frimpong, who played a fine pass to Mustapha Fuseini to slot in.
RTU after taking the lead continued to hunt for goals as they outplayed their opponents, with that growing pressure on the defense of B.A United they couldn’t withstand it, and had to concede a penalty which was taking by Mohammed Sadat to double the home sides lead before half time.
After the break B.A United gained their spirit forcing RTU to seat back whiles they dominate the play, and on the 51st minutes RTU conceded a penalty when a player handled the ball, but goalkeeper Emmanuel Eassandor to saved the spotkick.
With the away side unable to utilize the chance, RTU add another goal through Ronald Frimpong to streached their lead.
The win over B.A United has brought Coach Shaibu Tanko’s side to the top of the table again after they lead it on match day 10.
The team will be happy about Ronald Frimpong input, he joined them during the second transfer window and he has already been a regular in the teams starting lineup and also making his name on the score sheet. He has scored three goals and provided three assist from in just three matches.
Coach Shaibu Tanko and the management team will be happy for their performance today, as they dominated possession throughout the game.
