DOL: Promotion battle, Tamale Steadfast Fc ends first round in second place

This seasons National Division One League will go down as a landmark for Tamale Steadfast Fc, a never to be forgotten year for the Tamale based division one club, as they swim through the big boys to put themselves in a great position to challenge for their maiden qualification into the Ghanaian top-flight.

The Zebra boys have made the media headlines with 9 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats in 15 outings to stay as one of the front-runners to compete for the only Premiership slot in the Zone.

With this great performances in the first round, the Zebra boys might just be one of the favourites in the
competition, as they search to play in the Ghanaian top-flight Football next season.

Steadfast fc has one of the best Coach in their team, former Ghana international Mohammed Gargo is the man leading them to set this unprecedented records in the Zone.
They have one of the best attacking trio in the Zone, With Fataw Issahaku partnering Alhassan Siisu and Abu Abdullah. The team has so far scored 25 goals, conceded 9 and bagged 30 points from 15 matches which has them ending the first round in Second place trailing Berekum Arsenals with only a point.

Ghana U-20 Star Abdul Fataw Issahaku has been of great help to the team since coming back from the Afcon Championship in Mauritania.
He has scored 6 goals, provided 4 assist and won four MVP award in six matches. He bagged a hat trick against Wa Suntaa SC over the weekend.

Fatawu’s partner, Alhassan Siisu has also scored 8 goals in ten matches, he is the second leading goal scorer in the Zone. He also scored three goals against Kintampo FC which earned him the MVP award.
