DOL, 2021/2022 Season : Tamale City Could be a Bone to Crack this season.
You could use a lot of “S” words to describe Tamale City’s season-opening victory Monday at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. Was it a “show-me” game? Was it a “statement” win? Did the team view it as the new “standard?” Or was it simply a “shocker?”
Former Black stars captain and Coach of Tamale City had his own “S” word to explain how he saw it.
“We just see it as a starting point, “We’ve got a long way to go. You look at the game and you will realize there’s still alot of work to be done. But the effort was really good, the passion we played with was really good and the poise for most of the game are things we emphasized going into it.”
The Citizen’s 4-0 victory against Berekum Arsenal on the opening day of the season is the largest goal differential on Match day 1.
Mohammed opened the scoring from a fierce shot 30meters away from goal in the first half. Bismak Asare doubled the lead in the early moments of the second half. Super sub Aggrey scored a brace with 20 minutes left to end proceedings.
Tamale City travel away to Nsoatre on match day 2 for their clash against Nsoatreman Fc next Sunday.
